  • Why I love Treble Cone

Treble Cone was instrumental in making me the skier I am today, the mountain challenges your skills and becomes a playground once you start mastering them! The runs are wicked steep and the level of stoke on a powder day is hard to beat, did I mention some of the best skiing views in the world?

  • Why I love working for the Rookie Academy

With some of the world’s best trainers at your fingertips and TC on your doorstep to test out your student’s skills, what more could you want?

  • What’s one piece of advice to anyone trying to improve their skiing/riding?

You get out what you put in so be prepared to dig deep. That being said skiing should be fun, so don’t let yourself forget it!

  • What keeps you motivated to keep pushing your skiing/riding?

The incredible people in the sport that I look up to, many who do or have worked for Rookie Academy in the past, and the quest for the unattainable perfect turn, might as well try though!

  • What’s one of your memorable skiing/riding experiences?

Skiing powder in Japan underneath New Year’s Eve fireworks has got to be up there but being able to ski untouched cord at Mt Hutt before it opened as the sun rises over Canterbury’s plains is also pretty special.

  • What type of gear do you ski/ride on and why?

I ski on Dynastar and Lange for their race pedigree and performance at high speeds.

Currently my quiver is FIS Slalom, Speed Course Master GS and M-Free 99.
