Val d'Isère and Tignes
Are two renowned ski resorts located in the French Alps, both part of the Espace Killy ski area. Val d'Isère, situated at an altitude of approximately 1,850 meters, is known for its challenging slopes, including the Olympic downhill run, and vibrant après-ski scene. Tignes, at a higher altitude starting around 2,100 meters, offers high-altitude skiing and the year-round skiing possibility on the Grande Motte glacier. Together, they provide over 300 kilometers of ski runs, making Espace Killy one of the largest ski areas in the world, attracting skiers and snowboarders from across the globe.

Kitzsteinhorn
Is a prominent mountain in the Austrian Alps near Kaprun, Salzburg. It offers year-round skiing and snowboarding on its glacier, with slopes for all skill levels. The summit reaches 3,203 meters (10,509 feet) and provides stunning views. Accessible by modern cable cars, Kitzsteinhorn also offers hiking, mountaineering, and other winter activities, making it a popular destination with a range of amenities.

    FRANCE
    For the first time, Rookie Academy heads to FRANCE. Val d’Isere and Tignes offer some of the world's largest ski terrain. Enjoy world-class après, fine dining, and, of course, incredible slopes. After 5 days, you’ll conquer the Espace Killy with confidence and style.

  • Immerse yourself in a month-long training journey across two continents. Develop dynamic skills and train to become a professional ski instructor on the perfect pistes of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier in Austria and the unique Rusutsu Resort in Japan.

    You'll learn the essentials of ski instructing and receive expert guidance from the SIA as you prepare for your exam in Austria. After completing your exam, all participants will travel with some of your trainers to Japan. There, you'll join the Rookie Academy Job Ready Camp, gaining real-life experience and setting yourself up for success as a first-time ski instructor.

    Once your training and exams are complete, you'll work at one of Japan’s top snow sports schools in either Hokkaido (North Island) or Honshu (Main Island).
