Our Rookies team are not just talented trainers – they are elite specialists with extensive experience in ski training around the world. They have worked in some of the best ski destinations, including Japan, New Zealand, Europe, China, and Canada. Their expertise in advanced techniques and personalised coaching will guide you towards achieving your skiing goals, no matter your current level.

Guy Dale
Guy is a highly accomplished and experienced ski instructor, serving as a member of the CSIA National Team since 2022. He proudly represented Canada at Interski in Levi, Finland. Holding top certifications with both the CSIA and APSI, Guy also contributes to the industry as a Director-at-Large on the Technical and Educational Committee.
With over 30 winter seasons of high-level ski instruction across the globe, Guy’s expertise spans skiing and racing in Europe, as well as training instructors in Canada, China, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia. His specialization lies in skill acquisition and motor learning theory, allowing him to deliver personalized feedback that helps participants improve their skills and build confidence. Guy is passionate about ensuring every skier leaves their time with him as a stronger and more self-assured athlete.

Josh Duncan-Smith
Josh is a highly accomplished ski instructor, coach, and examiner. He holds top certifications from several prestigious organisations, including the NZSIA, CSIA, BASI, and the IASI. Josh is also a member of the NZSIA National Demo Team, contributing his skills to training and certifying instructors globally. His work extends from teaching private lessons to helping skiers maximise their potential, all while serving as an examiner for NZSIA and IASI. Josh’s impressive career also includes numerous technical skiing competition achievements and a role as a head trainer at Rookie Academy.
