  • Why I love Treble Cone

    - Natural half pipes, chutes, steeps and drops, the best powder days in NZ and of course perfect corduroy groomers, it's the ultimate skier's playground.

  • Why I love working for the Rookie Academy

    - It is the epitome of training. The best Trainers travel from around the world to work at Rookie Academy. There is a culture of collaboration that is rarely found, working together to help each other be their best, and the trainees be their best.

  • What’s one piece of advice to anyone trying to improve their skiing?

    - Be patient with yourself, trust that the changes will come.

  • What keeps you motivated to keep pushing your skiing?

    - You get little tastes; flowing down a line of bumps, accelerating out of a turn on a clean edge, your skis turning effortlessly underneath you when you blend edging and turning just right. And I keep searching for these over and over, making changes and tweaks everyday.

  • What’s one of your memorable skiing experiences?

    - Powder days in Highlands Bowl; you hike for 45 minutes - 1 hour and then ski 38-48 degree pitches, the combination of powder and pitch makes for bottomless turns.

  • What type of gear do you ski on and why?

    - Lange ZB, Dynastar 155 Slalom, 175 Giant Slalom - I love the performance and feedback of a race setup, on and off piste.
