- 13, 2023 will be my 14th.

How many seasons have you taught skiing?

- 34 years, roughly 53 seasons (I think)

Where have you taught skiing/riding?

- Currently Aspen Snowmass, however mainly in management at the time.  Past places include: Arapahoe Basin, Cardrona, Treble Cone, Coronet Peak, Remarkables, Whakapapa, Porter Heights, Consulting, training and leading camps in various places in Switzerland, France, Italy, Austria, Argentina and China

Why I love Treble Cone

- Because it’s really, really fun. Like, super awesome.  That’s about it.

Why I love working for the Rookie Academy

- The people.  One will never find this many outstanding and inspirational professionals from a many different countries anywhere outside of Interski.

What’s one piece of advice to anyone trying to improve their skiing?

- Ski. Ski a lot and with intention.  Also, take participate in Rookie Academy camps. Seriously, read everything with a curious, open, inquisitive, and critical mind.  Ask questions and practice deliberately.  

What keeps you motivated to keep pushing your skiing?

- That’s intrinsic, digging deep and never being satisfied with performance and ability is part of who I am.   This sport is never ending. There is not such thing as true mastery, only the infinite quest. That’s part of what makes it so awesome.

What’s one of your memorable skiing experiences?

What type of gear do you ski on and why?

Blizzard, Tecnica. Anon, Swany, Leki.   I generally ski on narrower skis, such as GS and SL skis.   I appreciate the performance and immediate feedback this type of ski provides.
